Mt. Augustine blew three times today. After the last eruption at 11:30 AM AST, Alaska Airlines cancelled the remainder of today's southbound flights out of Anchorage. Fed Ex re-routed all of their Anchorage flights to Fairbanks. Anchorage itself is not in the projected ash path. However, ash did start falling in Homer and Seldovia this afternoon.

My personal favorite report is that a commerical airline pilot spotted lightening triggered by the second eruption in a cloud at 52,000 feet.
