Gore pens sharp critique of Bush. On CNN [News Is Free: Popular Items]
Go get ‘em, Al! Whatever you think of Gore, and there’s no doubt he ran a lousy campaign, he still garnered a half million more votes than the Boy Blunder. Only the chicanery of his KKKristian GOP toadies on the SCoUS put Shrub in the White House.
No matter how you look at it, his performance so far has been absolutely disastrous. Now it even turns out the Bush team was heavily briefed on advanced plans to attack Al Queda and destroy their ability to launch attacks long before 9/11 (http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101020812/story.html).
So, what did they do about this deadly serious threat? Nothing. Not one damn thing. That’s right. They knew, but did not a fucking thing. As a result, thousands died.
Anyway, here Al Gore takes some well deserved pot shots at the Idiot in Chief and his bunch of corporate toadies.

After Sept. 11, a Legal Battle Over Limits of Civil Liberty. A battle over the detention of more than 1,200 people is redefining the balance between individual liberties and national security. By The New York Times. [New York Times: NYT HomePage]
When discussing trade-offs between civil liberties and personal freedoms, it might be helpful to take a look at exactly how many terrorists the Bush point man, John “The Cavemen” Ashcroft’s aggressive trashing of the Bill of Rights has so far caught. Out of the more than 1200 people detained without charges after 9/11, some 200 of whom still remain in custody, Ashcroft’s Justice Department has found exactly zero terrorists – or, for that matter, anyone else who represents a threat to the US.
That’s right, none. Not one. Zip, zilch, nada, bupkis. Not one single person held since 9/11 has been found to be a threat of any kind. To anyone. Nice job, Asscroft. At least you got those stone boobies covered up.

In Effort to Simplify Ballot, Florida Adds More Problems. The Democrats say the new statewide ballot is confusing, and could mislead voters. By Dana Canedy. [New York Times: National]
What the fuck is the major malfunction in Florida? Oh, wait, the Dim Son’s idiot brother runs that state. Nuff said.
Recently we’ve seen Kathrine Harris - a name most Americans no doubt wish they’d never heard – show she’s too fucking stupid to “Uphold the letter of the law,” trying to weasel out of her obviously illegal campaigning by resigning 2 weeks retroactively. Now we see she couldn’t even manage to produce a state ballot that isn’t stupid, all the more unbelievably so in light of her infamous fiasco during the 2000 presidential election.
