Record Labels Want 4 Internet Providers to Block Music Site [New York Times: Technology]
It looks like the RIAA has succeeded in intimidating backbone operators to block all access to listen4ever.com, an MP3 file trading Website based in China. There is no doubt the site was completely rogue, but this sets a very dangerous precedent. Talk about a slippery slope, we could be neck deep in full blown censorship before we know it if things like this are OK.
