From the Turnabout's fair play Dept.

Online pranksters have turned the tables on the man behind the government's controversial Total Information Awareness effort. They are posting his personal information on hundreds of sites. By Paul Boutin.   Keeping Track of John Poindexter. [Wired News]

Hey, he thinks it would be just a swell idea to keep tabs on absolutely everything that you or I do that ever makes it into a database anywhere, just in case we happen to be terrorists. Seems even Senator Dianne Feinstein thinks that may not be such a good idea, although instead of just asking for Poindexter's project to be terminated, she's suggesting we should talk about it a bit. See what EFF has to say about it, then send a letter to your Congresspeople.

More on TIA:

Xeni Jardin over at BoingBoing points to Declan McCullagh's politecbot site for a whole string of links on Poindexter's Total Information Awareness initiative. Given the coverage this travesty is getting, can it be long before it's quietly dropped?
