a travel log
From France to Scotland by sea.

Day 15. Well, I'm here. England that is. Sailed all day today - left at 7, arrived at 9:45 - many miles, lots of wind (18-22 knots), lots of waves in spots, huge currents, moments feeling sea-sick, small naps, huge tankers and container ships to watch out for, and now on a mooring in the little town of Swanage, about 8 miles away from Poole. Never planned to come this far east, but the winds had other plans. Since I'm here, I'm going to sail into Southampton tomorrow, and perhaps drop in on my University - see the changes, test the beers, and see if any of my old profs are still there. Too tired to write much more. Will detail the crossing more tomorrow.
