A good whine

I hate going back to the office after a long holiday.  Why is it that I can jump up out of bed before the sun rises on the days I don't have to?  But when it's a work day, I have to drag myself out from under the quilts?  At last week's department head meeting, our new CEO bestowed upon us his philosophy that we should all be "happy".  Happy to get up every morning and come to work.  Happy my ass.  Yeah, I'm happy I have a job.  Grateful even.  Been there 13 years.  I got over the joy of actually BEING there about 12 years ago.  Don't get me wrong.  I like what I do.  Really.  But I'm tired.  Of. The. Same. Thing. Day. After. Day.  I need a new challenge.   In this lifetime...

Enough whining.  Think I'll go to bed early tonight.  It's cold.  And the weather's callin' for one of those "wintery mixes" tomorrow.  Let it snow I say!  Now that's a challenge for every southerner I know.  (note to self:  check antifreeze).
