Don't shoot the MessengerThe latest in IM popups. It's been appearing every time I log onto MSN Messenger this weekend. What a freakin' nuisance...grrrrrrrrrr. Rare Map CollectionThe Hargrett Library at the University of Georgia has a wonderful and rare collection of historic maps dating back 500 years including a New World map dated 1544. Tiny toolsI have three very old handmade miniature tools that I've put up for sale on Ebay this weekend. The little shovel & pick were hand carved, and such a neat folkart piece. It's very old, and made from oak I think. If I remember right, I picked all three of them up at an estate sale years ago. Haven't a clue when they were made or even if by the same person, but I think they're great. Maybe an antique tool collector will be interested. We'll see. I've linked the pics to the auctions if anyone wants more info. The other sales are going well so far. Thieves Steal 2 Van Goghs From MuseumFrom Salon.com... Dec. 7, 2002 | AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) Thieves broke into Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum overnight and stole two paintings by the 19th-century Dutch artist, police said Saturday.
