"Is money money or isn’t money money. Everybody who earns it and spends it every day in order to live knows that money is money, anybody who votes it to be gathered in as taxes knows money is not money. Thatis what makes everybody go crazy.... When you earn money and spend money every day anybody can know the difference between a million and three. But when you vote money away there really is not any difference between a million and three." --Gertrude Stein 10:05:04 AM ![]()

New traditionsI hope everyone's having a great holiday. This is our first Christmas together, Scott and I, and it's good. We cooked a huge dinner for the kids and their boyfriends yesterday, and feasted on traditional southern treats all day. My oldest, Carebear, even pronounced that I'd outdone myself this time. After the meal, we all turned into little children and ripped open presents with much oooooing and awwwing. Typically, the clothes I got the girls will have to be exchanged for one reason or another, but I had a good time picking them out. This does not bother me. It's traditional. It's a girl thing. We played games afterwards amidst mounds of torn paper and bows, and when the house got a little quieter, I settled on the couch with my new book of Emily Dickinson poetry. Woke up this morning, having enjoyed the best night's sleep I've had in weeks ::smile:: 8:51:11 AM ![]()
