Wow

We start off with something completely amazing.

It turns out the Mars Global Surveyor, which is currently orbiting Mars, is finding other interesting things about the place in addition to the high probability of water ice.

Several dark trails caused by huge dust devils have been found. Several have been caught in the act and some are beautiful.

Here is a more detailed link to the process. It is interesting to note the comments about West Texan particulate pollution.

Mercury is the publication of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and is highly recommended to science buffs. Most well stocked libraries carry it. Of course, if you are really into astronomy, you may want to think about joining.

Probably the perfect toy for your cubicle - a desktop r/c vehicle with tracks. The price seems high for what is probably well under $10 in parts, but it would be expensive to build one yourself - particularly at this scale.

Dave - if you don't have a few of these, you probably should warm up the credit card.
