Pratiques avant-gardistes en appui à une perspective unique Stephen Downes a suscité une belle controverse en déclarant un jour qu'à moins d'indications contraires, il avait « inventé » le blog autour de 1997...  [Éruption de protestations et compagnie.] Par contre nous lui reconnaissons sans contredit son rôle de pionner et de visionnaire en la matière. Il compte particulièrement parmi les plus fervents supporters de la pratique des cybercarnets. Fidèle à lui-même donc, voyez comment il pousse le médium dans un effort constant de redéfinir l'événement médiatisé et enrichi par les gens (il y a sans doute là quelque chose à apprendre) : NAWeb 2002 Blog. This is a bit of an experiment, but the conference has wireless access, and it only took a half hour to set this up, so it's worth a try. I have created a blog, linked to here, for the NAWeb 2002 conference. Anybody at the conference will be able to post updates to the blog (I'll post the information or if I'm lucky Rik will announce it). I am also bringing my webcam and will be sending live pics to the blog every 30 seconds or so from my computer. If it works we should have a great running commentary of the conference. If it doesn't work, I'm sure I'll learn some lessons (and you'll still get my blogs, so it's not a total wash). What will be really interesting is blogging (and webcamming) my own presentation Sunday as I give the presentation. The preconference starts Saturday and the conference itself runs Monday and Tuesday; I will start the blog Saturday evening or so. Ordinateur, raconte-moi une histoire... Sébastien Paquet commente le billet suivant Gelertner on KM :: There's a very good interview with David Gelertner in CIO Insight, in which Gelertner talks about what knowledge management means in terms of computing experiences. [IASlash] en disant Gelertner (rightfully, in my opinion) points out that we should be less evolutionary and more revolutionary. J'ai dû y penser à deux fois mais, eu égard au logiciel de M. Gelertner qui « révolutionnerait » le traitement de l'information sur pc, l'interprétation est judicieuse. L'entrevue en entier traite d'information à l'ère du savoir, de la surcharge de parcelles d'information dont nous sommes bombardés, et de la difficulté de transformer ces bribes décousues en connaissances utiles [en milieu corporatif par exemple]. Parlant du besoin de changer la traditionnelle représentation de l'information sur l'ordinateur personnel, Gelertner écrit : I want to see [corporate memory] as a tangible thing. I want to see it as a narrative on screen, and I want to be able to follow it, and I want to be able to find out what this organization was doing last year at this time, and I want to know what this organization is planning to do next month. J'aime bien cette approche, elle me rappelle les enseignements de Roger Schank et le rôle des détenteurs de savoirs, ceux qui sont en mesure de « raconter une histoire » pour le bénéfices des moins expérimentés.
