I wish all my readers a good health and a long life.
Philly: "In this age of diet daze, it may afford some relief to hear that the simple trinity of olive oil, wheat and wine enjoyed for centuries in the Mediterranean is still the ticket to good health and long life."

AlterNet: Bush's tax cuts are shifting more of the burden of taxes to middle-class and working-class households.
CommonDreams: "Americans abroad, whose votes could be crucial if the Nov. 2 presidential election proves close, are being denied access to a U.S. Department of Defense Web site designed to make it easier for them to cast absentee ballots."
Salon: "For decades, Republicans have mounted highly organized operations to discourage minorities from voting. Experts say there's no reason to believe this year's presidential campaign will be any different."
Independent: "Singer Cat Stevens and his daughter were escorted off a diverted transatlantic flight by FBI agents, it emerged today.
The pop star, who converted to Islam, was denied access to the US because his name was on a security 'watch list', government security sources said."
The star was refused entry under the Immigration and Naturalisation Act 'based on national security grounds'.
"The vast majority of voters want Tony Blair to pull UK troops out of Iraq as soon a possible, according to a new opinion poll."
US authorities would put all these people on their 'watch list', I suppose.
The Dutch government has planned to pull out its troops from Iraq in March 2005.

If you want to know where to find WMD, they will be delivered by the US to Israel.
Reuters: "The United States plans to sell Israel $319 million (178 million pounds) worth of air-launched bombs, including 500 'bunker busters' able to penetrate Iran's underground nuclear facilities, Israeli security sources say."
Haaretz: "The funding will come from the U.S. military aid to Israel, and the bombs range from airborne versions, guidance units, training bombs and detonators. The bombs are guided by satellite, in a system already in the Israel Defense Forces arsenal. The guidance unit receives a signal from a satellite, correcting the bomb's course to the target."

Guardian: "Billions of pounds, enough to pay for the entire primary health and education needs of the world's developing countries, are being siphoned off through offshore companies and tax havens, according to a body formed to expose the offenders.
Offshore companies are being formed at the rate of about 150,000 a year. While in the 70s there were just 25 tax havens, there are at least 63 now, about half of them British protectorates or former colonies. Tax avoidance in Britain alone is estimated at between £25bn and £85bn."
