ABC: "The US President George W. Bush has again defended his anti-terrorist policies by going on the offensive.
He's told Americans how his administration was able to foil a terrorist plot to bring down the tallest building in Los Angeles.
And for the first time, President Bush divulged previously classified material about the methods used to derail the plan and who was involved in the plot.
But the mayor of the 'City of Angels' wasn't impressed by the President's disclosure, accusing him of failing to provide the funds to secure LA and trying to divert attention from the controversial domestic spying program."

Ah well, we know George is a fibber (to say the least), especially when he is in a pickle. And he surely is.
Even his 9/11 version is very much doubted. And why was the whole air defense from Andrews AF Base for the Washington area incapacitated on that date?

Bush's State of the Union was evaluated around the world as being a hollow speech playing on feelings of fear and insecurity. His old trick doesn't seem to work any longer.

And this could be the final blow to Bush's credibility:
BBC: "The head of Israel's domestic security agency, Shin Bet, has said his country may come to regret the overthrow of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein."

His record on freedom is abominable. Just one example: "Activist Jose Bove denied entry to US."
But worse is, George Bush does not stop at his Pentagon Propaganda Roadmap and his planned 'detention centers' on American soil, but is planning a massive data sweep in which we all are suspects.

CSMonitor: "The US government is developing a massive computer system that can collect huge amounts of data and, by linking far-flung information from blogs and e-mail to government records and intelligence reports, search for patterns of terrorist activity.
The core of this effort is a little-known system called Analysis, Dissemination, Visualization, Insight, and Semantic Enhancement (ADVISE). Only a few public documents mention it. ADVISE is a research and development program within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), part of its three-year-old 'Threat and Vulnerability, Testing and Assessment' portfolio. The TVTA received nearly $50 million in federal funding this year.
But by delving deeply into the digital minutiae of American life, the program is also raising concerns that the government is intruding too deeply into citizens' privacy."

The 'war on terror' is just an excuse for an imperial neocon wet dream, total control of the world by (mainly US) corporations.
Our soldiers are not fighting for freedom and democracy, but for the profits of the corporations.

When a president is surrounding himself with yes-men and muzzling people with different opinions, he has a serious problem with reality.
Wall Street Journal: "A dispute involving a researcher at the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service is fueling a debate over whether analysts throughout the government are being muzzled to prevent criticism of Bush administration policies."
Isn't it time for a CIA coup to depose Bush before he ruins America and the world?

Christian Science Monitor: "Critics of evolution cite scientific debates to undercut Darwin's credibility. That strategy fails when research clears up some of the issues. Results from two separate research projects announced this week make that point.
They deal with Darwin's controversial suggestion that new species can arise within an ancestral population even when there is no way to separate the diverging groups geographically.
There is no 'evolution versus creationist' scientific controversy. It's a political and philosophical controversy."
