EmpireBurlesque: "Britain's New Statesman magazine has put together a powerful package of stories detailing how the government of George W. Bush's beloved disciple, Tony Blair, is 'persecuting innocent people, tearing up our freedoms and undermining the judiciary'. The basis of the stories is a new, blistering report from Amnesty International on the degraded state of civil liberties in the UK today."

And when the British government has a chance to prevent a real terror attack, they mismanage the whole affair.

Independent: "A plan to revive Britain's dying democracy is launched today by an inquiry which warns that the parties are 'killing' politics.
The independent Power commission calls for sweeping changes to prevent a dangerous gulf between politicians and the people becoming even wider. Its ideas include allowing the public to initiate legislation and a shift of power back from the Government to Parliament, following criticism that Tony Blair has neutered it.

Power to the People, the commission's 311-page report, demands a new electoral system 'to ensure that all votes count by having some influence on the final outcome of an election'."

IPS: "Christian leaders from the United States lamented the war in Iraq and apologised for their government's current foreign policy during the 9th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Porto Alegre, Brazil."

CommonDreams: "A 'praja court' (public court) held US President George W. Bush guilty of 'perpetrating terrorism in the name of fighting terrorism and killing people including women and children'."

ThinkProgress: "Defense contractor Mitchell J. Wade pled guilty yesterday to election law fraud, among other charges for making illegal campaign contributions, including $32,000 in illegal contribution to Rep. Katherine Harris (R-FL)."

Katherine Harris was also responsible for the election fraud that prohibited thousands of Americans from voting, and she cheated on several other scores. She rigged the elections in favour of Bush.

Chron.com: "U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay received an enterprise award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce today as well as getting an endorsement from the national group.
Peter Havel, regional executive director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Dallas, presented the award to DeLay for his 'outstanding leadership' and 'for voting with the business community on a consistent basis'.
Havel said the chamber group relies on legislators such as DeLay who believe in free enterprise, fewer taxes and job creation.
Havel also announced the national chamber group's endorsement of DeLay as he seeks re-election for Congress.
'We want to let you know we're behind you,' Havel told DeLay."

This is just an other way of saying that the rules of neocon commerce allow fraud and corruption.
