MercuryNews: "The Air Force early Thursday successfully conducted a test of an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile, officials said."
The Minuteman III is an intercontinental ballistic missile that carries nuclear weapons of mass destruction.

International and criminal law expert Francis Boyle testified that any threat or use of the Minuteman III first-strike 335-kiloton thermonuclear weapon of mass extermination is a crime against peace, a war crime and a crime against humanity under binding U.S. law.
Nuclear weapons are not defensive but offensive weapons, meant to attack or threaten, and they massively destroy civilians and infrastructures, which is a war crime.

USDAT: "Secretary-at-Large Randall M. Packer announces ORF'S IMMOLATION, a ritual act of protest and purification, presented by the US Department of Art & Technology (US DAT) as the closing event of Mardi Gras, New Orleans, February 28, 2006, 11:00 pm - 12:00 am CST. ORF'S IMMOLATION will be performed by Los Angeles tenor Charles Lane."

Guardian: "The health of thousands of NHS patients could be at risk and one woman is reported to have died as a result of problems with the privatisation earlier this month of the NHS home oxygen supply service."

While governments are catering to private companies, the urgent problems are left alone. Deregulation only makes the situation worse.
Independent: "Greenhouse gases are being released into the atmosphere 30 times faster than the time when the Earth experienced a previous episode of global warming."

Guardian: "Civil liberties organisations expressed outrage yesterday after it was reported that the database of terrorist suspects kept by the US authorities now holds 325,000 names, a fourfold increase in two and a half years.
Thousands of Americans have only discovered their name, or a similar one, is on the list when they have been prevented from taking a commercial flight. Senator Edward Kennedy found himself in that position in 2004.
Officials from the Transport Security Agency estimate that about 30,000 people a year had been denied the right to board a flight because of the list."

It is clear that this is a systematic intimidation of the American people, this has nothing to do with fighting terrorism. And as usual the GOP, also known as the Neocon Mob, stand behind their Führer.

LATimes: "Senate Republicans blocked a proposed investigation of President Bush's domestic spying operation Thursday as the chairman of the Intelligence Committee said he had reached an agreement with the White House to pursue legislation establishing clearer rules for the controversial program."
