A ROGUE PRESIDENT Polizeros: "The Left is just now coming into ascendance again. Let's seize the moment." Hear, hear! But where are the Democrats? The Clintons more resemble the bloated Mardi Gras balloons. Material for wax museums. Bill even prefers a blowjob. Or are they waiting for the complete ruin of the GOP and America to take over the country and reap what they think are the fruits of Empire? If there is anything left then. The Democratic party is Republican Light. The second problem is the run-of-the-mill American who is indoctrinated and uninformed, or just mean. Like those people who placed a teacher on administrative leave for showing a video of the opera Faust. Fortunately, they run increasingly scarce. A greater problem is the fact that Bush is a rogue president. Anyone with a modicum of decency and morality would have abdicated by now. Criminals don't. If they lose all credibility, they resort to lies, cheats and military force. There is not a grain of reason, vision, democracy, freedom and liberty left in the Bush administration. They have lost it. So the only way to stay in power is to remove all those in the judiciary, executive and legislative branches who oppose Bush. That is exactly what he has done and is still doing. This way he won't be impeached for his crimes, because he has friends in the Supreme Court and Congress and the neocon establishment. He rigs elections and intimidates Americans. He receives his money and support from corporate America. Prospect: "The president claims an inherent power to imprison American citizens whom he has determined to be this country's enemies without obtaining a warrant, letting them hear the charges against them, or following other safeguards against wrongful punishment guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. But there is something more dangerous than any of these specific abuses and usurpations, and that is the theory of inherent powers that Bush invokes to justify most of these actions and the possibility of its being effectively institutionalized by a meek Congress and, worst of all, by a deferential Supreme Court." The American system of checks and balances has been demolished. The American Dream is becoming the American Pipe Dream. There is work to be done. Seize the time! 11:22:07 AM
