Who Didn't See This Coming? From The Scotsman:  Tony Blair is preparing a face-saving compromise with the United States in an attempt to heal the rift over whether Saddam Hussein was trying to buy uranium from Niger. France is expected to be blamed for the split between the CIA and MI6 - on the grounds that Paris intelligence agencies shared hard evidence with Britain, but refused to show it to the US. Read more. Rent-A-What? You ever wondered why Rent-A-Centers don't have centers to rent?  I mean every other Rent-A-(blank) rents whatever they say after the "A," but not Rent-A-Center.  You can go there and rent furniture, stereos, appliances, and lots more (apparently even pirates), except centers.  They are center-less.  If I was more of a stickler for misleading advertising, I'd be pissed.  As it is, I'm tempted to walk into the local Rent-A-Center and ask to rent a center.  No, forget renting.  I'd ask about their rent to own offer for centers and see what they say.  I'll claim that I've always wanted my own center and how excited I was when I saw their sign.  I won't give up.  I'll let it be known that I'm not leaving until I see their full line of centers.  CNN here I come.  Here are some other things you can rent, but never knew you could: Rent a Cow:  your cheese, your way Rent a Negro:  I'll be starting Rent-A-Honky soon Rent a Priest:  show God you're interested without having to sign a long-term deal Rent a Hacker, or a Coder, or just a plain ol' geek:  for all those technical needs Rent a Husband:  if committment happens to be a problem Rent a German Scientist:  your own Einstein at reasonable rates Rent a German Chicken:  your own German chicken, also at reasonable rates Rent a German Killer:  those crazy Germans will rent anything 5:58:58 PM     |
