It's All Good Now

No, not from how this site has been getting the hell kicked out of it by voyeurs who get off on looking at pictures of supposed rape victims.

No, it is now officially all good between Kobe and his wife, Vanessa.  What does it take to patch things up after embarrassing the family in front of the entire world by having sex with someone who isn't your wife?  A four million dollar, eight-carat, purple diamond ring, obviously.

That should answer any questions about why Vanessa is sticking by her man.

A four freaking million dollar ring!  At least she can pawn it if he gets thrown in the slammer, right?

I love how she released a statement last week about how she felt about her husband:

"He is a loving and kind husband and father," she said in the statement. "I believe in his innocence. Because I know him to be innocent, I will stand by him and we will face this together."

She forgot to mention that he's also filthy rich.  Accepting that ring proves that the money also has something to do with her loyalty.  If not, she would have refused.  In fact, I'd hope that most women would refuse a gift like that from a man only a few days after admitting to the whole world that he had cheated on her.  A ring shouldn't make up for the broken trust.  A ring shouldn't make up for having to tell your young child one day that daddy couldn't keep Lil' Elvis in his pants around other women who weren't mommy.  A ring shouldn't make up for the humiliation he's put his family through.  I would hope that no ring could change any of that or make it all better.

Eight-carat, purple diamond ring:  Four million dollars

Attaching that same price tag to your personal diginity:  Priceless

Makes me wonder what Kobe got his kid.
