Booked
I've been putting off the inevitable for some time now. I've been putting off booking my tickets back to Texas for the Christmas holidays. Lots of reasons why, but mostly just because I'm an ace procrastinator. Well, let me tell you that was a huge mistake. By the time I finally got off my rumpus and looked at tickets this weekend, they were much more than I thought they'd be. All in all, it's going to cost about $1300 to get back to the place I was in such a hurry to leave last summer.
That does include the cost of bringing back a certain critter who answers to the name of "dumbass." Speaking of which, if the keepers of Franklin happen to read this anytime soon, just go ahead and stop feeding him. I'm going to have to cram his furry ass into a rather small box, so the fewer lbs he's lugging around, the better. I want him about the size of a gerbil by the time New Year's rolls around.
But wait -- the spending spree hasn't stopped with the tickets to Texas. I've also booked tickets to go back to London. I know I'd said I would go to Paris, or someplace else, for Thanksgiving, but after seeing roundtrip tickets from Germany to London for $50, I just couldn't pass them up. Also Radiohead is performing that week in London (not too sure I want to spend the money it'll take to get tickets to that show), as well as a HUGE game between Arsenal and my team, Manchester United (I'd kill for a ticket to that). At the very least I plan on making myself very comfortable in a pub that night and watching the game with the locals.
Oh, but I might still go to Paris this next Saturday. Haven't booked that yet, though.
More details as they develop. Time to let me check card cool off a little.
