The Americanization Of The World Just as the book I finished reading, Fast Food Nation, details, the American fast food industry is literally taking over the world.  Not only changing the way billions eat, but also changing their health and lifestyles.  In fact, I recommend that on the next printing, the title be changed to Fast Food World. USA Today had an article on that very topic today, focusing primarily on what is going on in Europe.  As it is, I can testify to the amazing number of American fast food places you see around this place.  I can take you to a McDonald's or Pizza Hut within a fifteen minute drive of my home here in Germany, no problem.  Go to London and you see them on practically every street.  Better yet, the food will look like and taste like just what you have back in the states.  It'll also be just as unhealthy and good at clogging up your arteries as anything you can find on Mainstreet USA.  Don't worry about foreign food if you go abroad, unless you're worried about not being able to find any.  Twenty years from now you'll have no trouble getting a Big Mac in Berlin.  Might have a problem finding traditional German food, though.
