The Lights May Be On...
...but no one will be home. I'm taking off tomorrow night for London to spend my Thanksgiving break there. So don't expect any updates to this site until Sunday at the earliest, though Monday is more likely.
Ironically enough, I'm headed to the place the pilgrims were so happy to get away from. And I have no idea what I'll be eating on Thanksgiving day. Turkey and chips?
I still don't have this trip entirely planned out, which has to shock anyone who knows me. The only thing that is definitely set is seeing the play Jumpers Friday night. Have my ticket bought for that. Everything else is still up in the foggy air.
Frustrating part of the trip so far is that I don't know if I'll be seeing Radiohead Thursday night or not. The place I ordered my ticket from just barely confirmed my purchase today and the guy I talked to over the phone just kept repeating to anything I said about not having my ticket in my hand yet, "It'll be there tomorrow."
I don't have high hopes for that. Instead I'm gearing up for an angry tirade if my ticket arrives after this trip is over with and they refuse to refund the money for it. We'll see.
Also don't know if I'm going to try and suck it up and see a football match on Saturday. The forecast is for wind and rain, and neither would make for a fun day in the stands. I'll think about that one on the plane ride up there.
So, hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving (except for the turkeys, of course. They're pretty much screwed as usual) and I also hope you check back in on me next week.
