Perl

Recently Pete made a statement that got me thinking. He said that any good system administrator was also a first rate programmer. I've taken a programming class and spent time developing programming skills. Sadly, I've let go of any expertise I once possessed. I need to change that.

So I've asked Pete to set aside a two hour block of time each week to tutor me in Perl. I'm stoked to jump in and renew/increase my understanding. And no, I don't have any illusions of ever being a great System Admin. But I do want to have a better understanding of the guts of programming..........
