Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Red Hat Commands

Honestly, what's your favorite linux command? You know, the one that you love running from the command line. The one that you absolutely gotta have. To me, so far it's the:

--force

command. Yes, I realize that I'm new to linux. And I have much to learn. And I'm in possession of a very thick "Linux in a Nutshell" book that is filled with lots and lots of commands. And I'm going to learn about many more that will fill my hours with great joy.

Jim, enough already, it's only Linux.

Why, yes, you're right. But more than Linux, it's learning. Without --force I wouldn't have been able to get the new, updated security certificate because Red Hat let their old one expire. And without that I couldn't patch my new instance of Red Hat, making me vulnerable. I like it when something new is also useful.......
