Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

So Wrong, So Long

Well, as I attempted to post my ideas about "Learn One, Do One, Teach One I discovered a big problem.

First, let me say that I've been thinking about this idea for more than a month. Along with my six questions campaign with my staff, this idea is motivating and shaping my thinking for goals and activities over the next few months. My Teach One activity will be to develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and Work Breakdown Structures with members of my staff. This will allow me to be closer to the guts of what is going on at UEN and also gives me the opportunity to share my talents. It's becoming more obvious every day the my talents are getting farther away from technical and more along the lines of management. Oh, well.

More to the point. I tried to link back to my December 30, 2003 post and, sadly, found that it is no longer there. Blank. Zip. Zilch. Nadda. Gone.

So my move to the new powerbook wasn't such a success after all. And now I feel foolish once again. Humiliated by technology, a fickle mistress for sure..........
