Xmas 2004 After recording that last bass track for "La Semana" yesterday morning, Jon and I listened to a handful of songs we had recorded last year for a new Christmas album - listen to the December 2003 download for example. They sound very cool. Working theme: "Opium" Christmas. Most songs we have recorded so far are pretty slow and have a lot of beautiful textures, which reminds us more of the "Opium" album, than of the more acoustic and pure "Christmas + Santa Fe" or the upbeat "Poets + Angels".

Melody Music: La Semana work mixes

See, that's why I don't listen to a new album much after it is released....before its release I have already listened to to the music a million times. It takes a year or so before I can enjoy the music without analyzing it...Anyway, didn't have much time in the studio yesterday, only about an hour, but I came up with a sweet melody for one of the three songs that are still melody-less.
