My brother gave me this Buddha for my new car. When I press a button, it pulses with soft light.

Music: brief silence between recording sessions
Mood: upbeat

Ken Wilber told me they want to put a little improvisation, which I performed in Boulder a month ago, online on Monday. I wrote:

Too bad you didn't catch the improv I did with Kenji!!

He wrote back:

We DID catch the improv with you and kenji.  an alert integral kid cameraman grabbed the digital about 2 minutes into it, and we got about 6 minutes of it.  up next!
I had no idea we played for 8 minutes...I figured maybe 4 or 5 minutes. Time flies.....

From Kenji William's newsletter:

The discussion was interspersed with live jamming - rapping, dancing. I played violin - solo, and also an improv jam with Spanish guitarist Ottmar Liebert - WOW! It was extatically beautiful - an unbelievable chemistry and spontaneous collaboration. To have live music and jamming, interspersed with discussions and zen workshops, created an electrifying group experience like no other. The weekend was "integral" in its entirety. Imagine if school was like this!!!
Well, I hope what Kenji and I played sounds half as good as it felt at the time. Sometimes these LIVE moments are best left in memory only...I guess we will find out soon...

This quiz has been designed for people who are new to the World of Memory and are wondering what it is all about. The quiz is deliberately light hearted, but don’t be deceived! Follow the instructions on each questions and don’t cheat! At the end of the quiz you’ll have found out a little bit more about yourself and, hopefully, want to find out more about memory techniques for yourself. If you found the quiz easy, then why not progress to the Memory Games section of the site.
Use it or lose it!
Thanks Canton

An asteroid will pass closer to Earth than ever recorded at 5:08 p.m. EST (2208 GMT) on March 18th, NASA scientists announced. The planet is not at risk, they said.
I was blissfully unaware.
Thanks Carol.

Norah Jones + J.J.Cale
Does anybody else hear that Norah Jones is J.J.Cale, but younger and female and without the cool guitar licks? It's piano versus guitar and yoga versus heroin...

Cable Modem + Apple Airport Extreme
Problem solved. I bought a simple Linksys router, which doesn't need to be a switcher as it only needs to have one LAN output, configured it for dynamic IP address and plugged it between the Motorola Surfboard cable modem and the Apple Airport Extreme. Now I have my network back.

TOKYO, (AFP) - Japanese automaker Toyota says it has developed a radar cruise control system that helps save drivers the trouble of constant braking in stop-and-go traffic jams.
The system, to be introduced in a new vehicle this summer, adjusts the speed of the car to match that of the vehicle in front, even as low as zero to 30 kilometers per hour (19 miles per hour), the carmaker said.
If the vehicle in front stops, the system brings the car gently to a halt if the driver does not respond to visual and audio warnings in time.
Perfect for all Los Angeles area drivers. Put on "In the Arms of Love", set your Toyota to radar cruise control and doze off while navigating the 405.....
Thanks Salma!
