Riders on the Storm
Yesterday we rode up St. Joe and we just beat a storm to the top of the hill. It was awesome! In the distance we could see the storm approach. As we started to descend off the hill the storm came! It was so neat. The landscape is so green right now. I can hardly believe it is so lush, like Washington or something. The rain came down and we dropped down the hill. Then a deer came running out of the brush. What an experience. The whine and dine rides are awesome.
New Web Home
I have my own domain now. It is "sloanhome.net", it's kinda cool having my own space on the Internet. I am not quite sure what I am going to do with it. I have posted some photos there already, as per some of these links. I also have a home page there.
Cat's Hill
Tomorrow is the Cat's Hill Crit! This is always exciting! I love watching the riders challenge the hill. There is always lots of action as they round the turn and start up the steep grade. There is lots that can go wrong. Chains snap, gears grind and riders crash.
Photo of Lynn Benson's fiancé Brian
Here is a photo of Brian and Lynn's mom at the recent defense of Lynn's thesis. Lynn's manuscript was awesome. She is a very talented writer.
