Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit yoga, a bit photo, a bit trains, and a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

A dear friend, Diana, gave me The Way of the Peaceful Warrior many years ago, I believe it was my 40th birthday. I thought of that this morning as I was walking to the post office. It was a cool morning, a little foggy and peaceful. It was an "ordinary moment." Or, seemingly so. It was a brief moment away from work, a little walk. It was nice. The other day was her husband Bob's birthday. Soon, it will be their anniversary. When I enjoy seemingly ordinary moments and think of the quote and realize of the specialness of such times; I think of Diana.

La Luna!
Last night on the whine and dine mountain bike ride, we drank a toast to the eclipsed moon. "La Luna!," we hailed; the famous line from Moonstruck (the great movie with Cher and Nicholas Cage.) In the movie Cher's grandfather, who has a pile of dogs who howl at the moon, toasts the moon "La Luna!" while the dogs howl. What a great movie, what a great time we had last night!
