Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit yoga, a bit photo, a bit trains, and a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

Just a quick note
Saturday was national tire day, or so it seemed. I was riding my bicycle on a road near Mt. Hamilto when I heard a pop and a loud sound coming from my front tire. I had a blow out. I was able to stop safely and walked to a safe spot to check my tire. It had blown a hole in the sidewall of my tire! It was a rather large gap. But, I was able to patch it with a power bar wrapper. It was a rather new tire so that was frustrating. I carefully rode back and drove home. When I got home I found a nail in the front tire of my car. The car tire needed replacing anyway, so I bought two car tires and a bike tire and spent the rest of the day dealing with that.

Frustrating seasons
The last two riding seasons have been frustrating for me. I think my best seasons have been 1999 - 2000. Those years were my best, since about a year ago I have had recurring health and other issues that have been a constant string of setbacks. Oh well, at least we're still having fun!
