Kicking political footballs at World Cup will be costly.
The organizers of the Rugby World Cup have warned that they'll fine anyone who uses the tournament as a platform for political views.
In a related story, the NBA Playoffs have announced a lucrative financial reward to any player using the tournament as a platform for uttering a cogent sentence.
That was very cynical.

Home again, home again, safely, and thankful for that. My dad driving a van full of stuff through winding country roads makes for about the longest hour and a half of the year.
Unfortunately, my internet connection has gone from the Hare to the Tortoise in a matter of the past few hours. I'm miserably slow, even for a dialup, but my limited technical knowledge is hindering me from discerning exactly why I have the slowest modem in my house.
Anyway, much more to come later tonight, hopefully.

This is my last night in Moffat 222 after two years. Next year I'll be moving a little to the southeast to Wilkie North.
Man, I should probably pack or something.
"Lookin' good, Homestar!"

If you're a fan of "The Screwtape Letters," you'll want to enroll at Hades College, a blog translated from the diabolical about the diabolical.
IF you're not a fan of "The Screwtape Letters," I'd recommend it. I don't do a terrible amount of reading, but that is one book I have read, a couple summers ago to be exact. (In fact, I remember sitting in the car waiting for Fourth of July fireworks to start and reading that book in July '01. Is that random enough for you?)
