Whew, I've been neglecting.  Hope you haven't been neglecting me!  (And if you have, I'll...well, I probably won't do much of anything except squak :-) )

Eclipse on Thursday was more or less of a wash.  Too many clouds kept swallowing up the moon, though you could get a decent look at it from time to time, I gave up on waiting (.looking at a black sky isn't too exciting either.)

Speaking of space-type stuff:

Quickie album review:  Brave Saint Saturn - "The Light of Things Hoped for..."

Reese Roper is beloved by many for his work with now-defunct ska band Five Iron Frenzy,  but these are the kinds of albums he was  made for.  Guitar-driven pop-rock with space-derivative sound effects sprinkled about, Roper and three other ex-FIF'ers carve out 16 tracks that run the gamut stylistically and emotionally.  Highly recommended release.

Fun Fact:  Reese gets censored no fewer than three times.   Gotta .love Tooth and Nail, eh?  :-)  Would be interesting to know wh's responsible for that, since it does take away a little from the gravity of the songs.
