I've officially decided after years and years that yes, being unable to drive is a bit of a downer.  I don't really give it much thougth during the school year, since I can more or less go wherever I need to go on campus without a car (going outside campus is a different story though, but that doesn't come into play too often.)  But living in the middle of a cornfield where there's nowhere worth going without transportation (and arguably nowhere worth going even with transportation, but that's another entry alltogether), it really starts to get a little depressing. 

Of course, there is a cost-benefit scale to owning a car/having decent vision. As it stands, I don't have to pay for gas, car insurance, tickets, etc. that go along with being a vehicle owner.  But, seeing as how it's not really my choice, analyzing the pros and cons isn't something I do a great deal of.  

Prepositions...
