rrrrr... Michael Schumacher won the U.S. Grand Prix, in a bizarre race that saw rain off and on cause distress for almost everyone throughout the first half of the race. Kimi Raikonnen led early, but couldn't keep up with Schumacher's performance on wet tires, and finished second. Juan Pablo Montoya had all kinds of difficulties including a drive-thru penalty for colliding with and eliminating Rubens Barrichello on the third lap, and an off-course excursion while sliding around in the rain on dry tires.
Schumacher has now all but clinched the championship, as Kimi Raikonnen trails by nine points with one race to go, the Japanese Grand Prix on the twisty Suzuka circuit. Raikonnen has to win and have Schumacher finish out of the points to have a chance at the title.
