Well, with the ongoing theme we've got here It's another edition of the sporadically-appearing Friday Five.
1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
I don't "watch" a lot of sports, per se, as I don't have a television here, but I primarily follow baseball, hockey and all kinds of motorsports.
2. What/who are your favorite sports teams and/or favorite athletes?
I'm probably connected to the Cincinatti Reds (baseball) more than anything else, they were my brothers' favorite team and I picked up my sports alleigances mostly from them. I'm not really a "hometown" fan, with the exception of the Indianapolis Colts in football, and of course my brothers made me a fan of Indiana University sports growing up, which lasted until I got here. <g> (ok, not quite. I still root for IU sports, I just try to distance myself from most others who do).
The Ottawa Senators are my favorite hockey team. (How many Ottawa Senators fans do you know? <g> )
3. Are there any sports you hate?
Not really. I don't see the point in being antagonistic about any sport, just about anything is entertaining in some fashion if you learn to understand it, and I always like learning about new things. Heck, when I was a kid my sisters made me watch gymnastics and figure skating, so I even got an appreciation for those.
4. Have you ever been to a sports event?
Very few. I don't have the right connections, I guess. <g>
5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
Goodness no. I'm a complete awkward stiff athletically. Maybe I'm one of those nerdy people who tries to live vicariously through the deeds of others. I don't think so, but I suppose it's possible.
