A reporter's tip Never put off contacting someone because you assume that you'll be able to find a bit of information (say, a phone number) easily.  So yes, I have a story due Wednesday in which my first (and genuinely decent) idea, doesn't appear as though it's going to work because I can't reach the necessary parties.  The (further) bad news is, I don't really know what the backup plan is going to be.  Looks like my reporting class is going to continue to be a disaster in progress.  I knew that I could have picked an easier beat to cover... 10:00:29 PM    comment []
