Riddle answer Well, it's a little philosophy of language problem, which of course means there's no right or wrong answer. <g>
Here is one way of looking at it: The question asks a hypothetical (if the English language had been different) but it asks the question in our present understanding of English. A dog will always have four "legs" (or the referrents of our English word "legs") regardless of how we arbitrarily describe them.
