I've seen this twice tonight now...

so I thought I might post it.

"For I will not trust in my bow,
nor will my sword save me."

Name statistics
Well apparently, I'm not as unique as I thought I was.  (Though I still don't meet many people at all with the same name).

Kenneth is the #17 most common male name.
0.826% of men in the US are named Kenneth.
Around 1011850 US men are named Kenneth!

Surprisingly, about 2550 females in the U.S. are named Kenneth, according to that site.  Very clever (I like it.)

Graber is the #5546 most common last name.
0.002% of last names in the US are Graber.
Around 5000 US last names are Graber!

And all of them live in four different counties around the country.  <g>

(Kudos to Luke for the site tip.)

Ah yes

Thanks to all of you who wished me a happy birthday yesterday.  It was a good day.  Anyday with you is a good day.

Even though I've been here for a couple years now, it's still a little sketchy to me thinking about being in my 20's.  All through my growing-up years, I didn't really know anyone outside of my family (and loosely, the people from their church) in their twenties, and they were, well, different.  I've never, until fairly recently, known *normal* (read:  non-Mennos) people in their mid-20's, so the expected socio-cultural paramaters of that demographic have more or less escaped me.  (Not that I've ever been one to adhere to convention, but you know.)

So, in less convoluted language, what I'm trying to say is:  I'm old, and I don't know what to do about it.  <g>

Autumn is here

Today was a dark, dark day here.  Cool, and very windy.  I noticed the streetlamps were on before 4 o'clock this afternoon.  (I'm sure this probably has happened before, but I don't remember it.)   Our warm autumn definitely vanished quickly.  Sad that I've been here for over three years and don't know a soul  Maybe I should've gone into trucking like the rest of my family.

No other new news to report.  As someone pointed out to me last month, the phrase "may you live in interesting times" was intended more as a curse then a blessing; if that's the case, my life is pretty blessed.  (Not that I'm disputing this, of course, it's only that sometimes I wish there was more to talk about on my end.)
