Update:  The N&R has real reporters and they report the real reason for the suspended beer sales.  Seems that the ABC authorities needed to get the attention of the Grasshopper's concession contractor to get them to renew their beer permit.  It worked.

I got a call from a friend who went to First Horizon Park to take in this afternoon's Grasshopper game.  His hope was to see some baseball and drink a few beers... but only one of the two was available.

He reports that the beer taps were turned off throughout the stadium due to some police order (Ed. note - actually he said 'ALE order', sorry for the confusion).  That's got to hurt the revenues for their current homestand if it goes through Saturday.
