Eileen's dental hygiene and Reiki cure
I went to get my teeth cleaned this morning and, because I was a good doobie and have faithfully followed my hygienist Eileen’s strict dental care routine, it went quickly and painlessly – not a lot of scraping. Best of all, this left 10-15 minutes at the end of my appointment and so Eileen, who happens to be a Reiki Master, gave my aching neck and trapezius a Reiki treatment!
I’d been thinking while battling construction traffic on every road between my house and the dentist’s office (took me 40 minutes) that I have to get a new dentist closer to home. But the people at this place are so consistently nice and, I think, good at what they do, I keep going back. Several years ago I called them with what I thought was an abscess and they took me in right away. After poking and prodding my swollen gums in the back, my dentist pulled out the remains of a popcorn kernel shell that had wedged itself in there. “Uh, been eating popcorn lately?” He never even charged me for that.
Anyway, the Reiki brought some relief. Eileen told me a breathing/relaxing exercise to do and also recommended a flax-seed or buckwheat-hull neck pillow that sounds like one of these that you can throw in the freezer or microwave depending on your cold/heat preference. Maybe I should take a quick trip to Whole Paycheck Foods – I’ve seen some there.
