Cape bound

I'm off to the Cape for a couple of days with the gals - woo hoo! They're predicting sunny, dry weather. Should be a fun getaway. While I'm gone, a few scenes of summer:

From Switched at Birth:

“Old men from Atlantic Avenue spend hours playing dominoes while small girls on pink bikes ride circles around them. Hennaed Italian biddies swap gossip and aches and pains.”

“Granted, they do make a rather fun click-clack sound. Unless of course they’re wet, in which case it’s more of a squeak-shlook, and your already tenuous grip is fully gone as they swivel left and shlook right, the rubber rod ramming the toes, while your heels tramp alongside.”

Susurra de Luz's Dog Days of Summer:

“A white feather drifts down to settle

On sleeping dog's white fur…”

And Hoarded Ordinaries goes to the beach:
