I'm back from a weeklong trip to Hangzhou and Shanghai. It's been a great, but exhausting, week. We held a Faculty Summit at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, with over 200 faculty members representing 79 academic institutions. The following day we held day one of our annual Symposium on Computing in the 21st Century for over 2000 students.

On to Shanghai, where we held a meeting of the Technical Adivsory Board for our Beijing lab. From there I headed home on Friday so that I could make it in time to take my daughters out to dinner on their birthday. Most of the rest of the gang flew to Hong Kong for Day Two of the Symposium.

The girls and I had a great Friday evening, then a very lazy day today. Actually, most of the day was spent playing Myst V, which I gave the girls for their birthday.

Tomorrow it's back to the grind as the girls dive into their homework and I finish unpacking, do laundry, and get organized for the week at work.
