Today my boss rented out a local theater and treated our entire division to a free showing of the new Harry Potter movie... a day before it opens.

It's good. Very good. Very dark. Frightening at times. Think twice before bringing someone under the age of 10. There are some funny scenes too; if I were to draw a parallel to a Shakespearean tragedy, the story is really about Harry, and Hermione and Ron are the comic relief (especially Ron).

If you've been reading the books, you'll remember that this is the point where the series stops having cheerful endings. The movie is very true to the book. This is not the feel-good movie of the holiday season. But it definitely is worth seeing.
