In my daughters' school, all students are required to have laptops (and starting this year, the chosen model is a Tablet PC).
Dr. Phillips is the head of the technology department, and a science teacher. He has his own blog with news and advice for the school community on using their laptops, but also lots of fun commentary and observations on other stuff.
