The Dover, Pennsylvania School District held an election yesterday and cleaned their house of the crazy fundamentalists who pushed intelligent design into the science classroom.

Note that the folks that came in have said that intelligent design will still be discussed in school, but in a more appropriate forum: a comparative religions elective class.

Oil execs testified in front of Congress this morning -- I caught some of it on CNBC. Here's CNN's report.

Interesting sideshow: Republican Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska, the chair of the commerce committee, didn't require the execs to swear to tell the truth. What's that all about? Are they afraid of something?
