Winter Solstice
It's winter solstice, and once again this year I will take my traditional walk in the darkness with a candle or lantern. I'm hoping members of my family will join me, but if not, a solo walk will still bring feelings of peace and contentment, I'm sure.
In advance of the solstice, strong south winds brought in some unseasonably warm temperatures: last night I saw one of my neighours out for a walk in his shorts! Although I won't go that far, I do think my fall jacket will suffice today.
