I am currently in Provo, Utah,
attending the Novell TTP Conference. A description of the conference can be found here. I am staying at the Hampton Inn Provo. Our sessions begin in about
an hour Mountain Time, and I am just getting ready to pack some things
in my laptop bag.
The new Southwest Terminal--Terminal A--at BWI is quite nice. I
have also given up on trying to guess what the TSA Agents are going to
make me do at the security checkpoint. Yesterday, they made me
take my sandals off to run them through the x-ray machine. They
were Teva sandals. They contain no metal. I surrender to the TSA.
The flight was uneventful, and I had a stopover in Chicago on my way
out. The only other inconveniences I encountered was my laptop
battery died on my while watching my Netflix Kill Bill, Vol. 2 and a
rather unhappy young child boarded in Chicago. All in all,
though, I arrived safe and sound.
The reception dinner was actually quite good. Thankfully, some of
the good beer that actually exists in the heart of Mormon country was
there. It was good to catch up with some folks I have not seen in
some time.
Hopefully, my camera's batteries do not die on me today. There
are some beautiful mountains nearby, and they would make a great
subject for some photos.
Updates sporadically. The wireless here is not completely up to snuff. Time to run to my opening session.
