Book Reviews from Investigate a Good Book participants

:

A Stolen Season by Steve Hamilton: This is the last book in the series (so far) and each is more exciting and gives more insight into the main character, Alex McKnight. Each book not only gives a thrilling plot, but beyond the usual "character development", there is insight into the human condition. Hamilton's characters not only plot and bleed, they have hearts and souls and egos and life through his words. This is a book you can't put down--but you'll chew your nails, you'll need some kleenex and may some dry pants!

Abnormal Behavior by Richard Price: This book talks about the six perspectives; psychoanalytic, illness, learning, moral, humanistic and the social content of abnormal behavior that affect people in all ages. This kind of behavior tends to grow in some of us when we are being misunderstood in some situtations. For one thing, people with abnormal behavior must or should be in producuments that are well understood and not misinturbed. Therefore we sometimes blow things out of proportion instead of listening first before jumping to conclusions that are unnecessary. Sometimes people with abnormal behaviors always find situations or things wrong with others instead of looking at themselves.

Fish Michigan by Tom Huggler: Love fishin'

Flowers A to Z by Cecelia Hefferman: I love flowers.

Best of Norman Rockwell by Norman Rockwell: Popular photos and cute.

Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer: Very fast read. Awesome story.

Mother R: Eleanor Roosevelt's Untold Story by Elliott Roosevelt and James Brough: Inside view of how Eleanor Roosevelt came into her own as a widow, her work forming the United Nations and independent Nation of Israel, her opinions of Harry Truman, Winston Churchill, Eisenhower, and other leaders of the times, but her feelings of failure on the family front.

The Rising by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins: Chilling--scary to think how the Antichrist was born of evil.

Love and Logic magic for early childhood: practical parenting from birth to 6 years. by Charles Fay: Great, practical techniques to use with your young child. Easy to read. Highly recommended.
