Book Reviews from Investigate A Good Book participants

HRH by Danielle Steel: A little hard to get into, but a very good read.

Three to Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich: I have read three of this series and every one is a new adventure. This series is funny and exciting.

Gunpowder Plot by Carola Dunn: This author was "born and raised in London", but now resides in the US. She's clever with her plot-twists; and this is a good mystery.

To Hell with all that by Caitlin Flanagan: This book is basically a whiny diatribe on housework and parenthood. The author herself didn't actually engage in much housework. She hired a nanny to do it. This isn't a book you want to read unless you enjoy hypocrisy.

Innocent Traitor by Alison Weir: After reading Innocent Traitor, I know I'll go on to read about the other queens Alison Weir has written about. Good reading!

Obsession by Jonathan Kellerman: Good reading--from page 1 to page 347.

God of Animals by Aryn Kyle: This is a book you want to read over and over again. Sometimes it brings tears to your eyes.

Pizzas by Better Homes and Gardens: Pizza recipes were great--new and interesting ways to eat one of America's favorite foods. Many new ways to represent pizzas by way of meals, appetizers, and even desserts. The directions were easy to follow, the many flavored crusts were great also.

My War by Colby Buzzell: Good book--similar to "Dispatches."

Remember Me by Mary Higgins Clark: Very exciting. This is a good summer book. Really keeps your attention.

Tangerine by Marilynn Griffith: I enjoyed the book very much. It addressed the day to day struggles of a multicultural family from a Christian perspective. Refreshing to read something without profanity.

Coming Attractions by Fannie Flagg: I loved Daisy's view on life. Wish this book went on and on.

I'll be seeing you by Mary Higgins Clark: Um, Um, Um, good--great twists--and neat plot. Always up to her standard.

We'll meet again by Mary Higgins Clark: Have always enjoyed this author--this one is great as usual.

People of the Nightland by Micheal and Kathy Gear: This book tells the story of the Great Lakes and upper New England Native Americans. As I read this I was trying to figure out where it was set and, being a history buff, I enjoy learning about the different creation myths and daily life.

People of the Owl by Kathleen Gear: I just love this whole series! I like learning about the different customs of each group. This book is so germaine to our time.

Camel Club by David Baldacci: This series is very interesting--But not easy listening. The book keeps your attention. There are many things going on--but everything blends in at a certain point. I'm not ccertain how this author keeps everything flowing with so much going on at one time--but he does an excellent job.

Build your own birdhouses by John Perkins: Good project book, step by step instructions were great. Learned a few new things from this book about birds in general. Many interesting styles of bird houses, they are not just a plain box.

Tremendous Trifles by G. K. Chesterton: It's too good to merely write about here.

by Mary Jane Clark: Good plot--enjoyed this.
