The High Calling by Gilbert Morris: Astounding! Gilbert Morris is one of my favorite authors. He weaves a story of Christian faith laced with just the right bit of romance. He tells of a young couple's struggle through WWII and the life that they both come to share.
Burning Bright by Tracy Chevalier: Miss Chevalier is a sensational authoress. She depicts the streets of London in a dashing portrayal of cunning and intrigue. She opens our eyes to the conflict Londoners faced during the French Revolution.
A Woman of Independent Means by Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey: The story about a woman born in 1890's who travels abroad when she was pregnant--something women didn't do at that time. She was a woman before her time.
McNally's Puzzle by Lawrence Sanders: Good mystery with some unusual characters, twists. Does not have bad language.
I'm Still Wifey by Kiki Swinson: This book was about a woman scorned and with all her ability she was determined to take down the two men who caused her anger. It will have you turning the pages till the end.
Sisterland by Linda Newbery: A most interesting story. A plot with many different twists and turns it portrays the clashes between WWII Nazism and modern liberalism. Newbery depicts today's society head on!
Listening at the Gate by Betsy James: I have only one word to describe this book: interesting. James weaves a fine web of fantasy, love, and strength. This book brings to life a world we could only imagine in our wildest dreams.
