Book Reviews from Investigate a Good Book participants

Enchanting Woodland Birdhouses by Lucinda Claire Macy: I really enjoyed this book, most of the supplies are right in your backyard, to make the birdhouses.

New Compact House Designs by Don Metz: Wasn't what I expected, these compact houses are still pretty big.

Elder care made easier by Marion Somers: Good information for caregivers. Who, what, and where to contact to get things in place if you are going to be in charge of caring for another.

Helping Yourself help others by Rosalynn Carter: This book is more for the caregiver providing the care--it helps that person also care for oneself. Very Good.

506 Best small home plans by Garling House Company: Had some good ideas enclosed.

Candy Licker by Noire: Candy Licker was a good read. Candy is an up and coming star, and girlfriend of her group's manager. At first she thinks she and Cane are meant for each other, but finds out that she is nothing more than property. Get ready for some hidden secrets and closets that should have remained closed.

Friends in High Places by Marne Davis Kellogg: Fast reading. A delightful summer read!

O. Henry Favorites by O. Henry: These short stories were very enjoyable. O. Henry's gift is that he can write a story that keeps you interested with its engaging narrative, yet there isn't even one unnecessary word. His stories are rich with human dramas that almost always end in an unexpected way that will make you smile.

Changing Faces by Kimberla Lawson Roby: A very realistic fiction that many A.A. females can relate to.

Stories of John Cheever by John Cheever: John Cheever is a great storyteller. So good, in fact, that I wish I had read these stories instead of listening to Mason Adams read them on audiotape. These stories require some pause for reflection, and having them read was like taking a journey on a train that never stops to let the traveler absorb some local atmosphere.

Candy Licker by Noire: Sizzling! Read this book from cover to cover in one day! Urban, ADULT, fast paced drama about a young girl trying to make it big in the music industry. *Very* sexually explicit, so be careful! You will have a hard time putting this one down.

Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner: Great book--A true story of following your dreams.

Prince of Magic by Linda Winstead Jones: This story is about the Sun witch's daughter and how she and a magician battle an evil spirit that possesses the body of their king's son; evenutally they are brave enough to fall in love while trying to defeat it.

Carolina Moon by Nora Roberts: A real page turner! You never know who the killer is until the very end!

People of the Moon by Michael and Kathy Gear: Although I enjoy the whole series, this book is my favorite. It brought me into the belief systems of these people more than the other book. This is a real bage turner. Enjoy it.
