We're having a New York Geek Dinner. June 16th. 6:30 p.m. At the original Mendy's (across from the Empire State Building). If you are coming, please RSVP by sending me email to robertscoble@hotmail.com.

Michael Gartenberg says he'll be there. So will Erin Joyce of InternetNews.com. Dave Winer says he's going to try to be there. How about you?

When would I not listen to my bosses? If they told me to put a disclaimer on every post. That's not a blogging best practice, sorry Josh. Find another way.

I start out with the belief that my readers are smarter than I am. If I need to put a disclaimer on every post that means I need to treat them like babies. Not gonna happen here, I don't care what the lawyers say.

Lots of new stuff to look at. I'm having trouble keeping up with all the new information sources, aren't you?

Tom Peters started a blog (yeah, that Tom, the guy who writes the famous marketing books). More accurately he turned his home page into a blog. Has an interesting question about RSS too: will it just bring us more content, or will it bring us better content? I think both, but it'll be messy for a while.

We just put up a Channel9 video interview with Robert Hess. Appropriately enough we did that interview in his favorite bar (look for the camera work to, um, degrade in future clips. Grin.).

Eric Mack, productivity guru David Allen's IT guy, just started a video blog.
